Once most vegetation has been collected, we will revert back to the normal Wednesday yard waste schedule. Vegetative debris will also continue to be picked up each day until we catch up. The City's first obligation is to continue regular garbage pickup. These are the items that the City is picking up post-storm, free of charge. The City also does not pickup hazardous materials, chemicals, pallets, oil-based paint, or tires.Īs always, vegetation that is cleared or cut by a landscaping contractor or other contractor must be hauled away by the contractor in accordance with City code. These items include but are not limited to steel, glass, brick, concrete, roofing materials, tile or wood flooring, pipe, gypsum wallboard, toilets, doors, cabinets and lumber. Construction debris is generally defined as any item that requires a tool to remove it from your home. Please see the links below to learn how to properly dispose of this waste. For this reason, construction debris collection is prohibited by the City's ordinance. Construction materials are not collected by the City because they can cause damage to expensive sanitation vehicles. We have a small Public Works staff working as hard and fast as they can to pick up storm debris across the City. The City would like to apologize for any confusion regarding storm debris pickup.
